     John Gurley was born in 1835.¹ He was enumerated with Rebecca Gurley on the census of 18 November 1850 at King William County, Virginia, as John Gurley John was a 15 year old boy.¹

     Mary F. (?) was born in 1848.¹ She married James M. Gurley, son of James Gurley and Virginia E. Blow, before 1870.¹

     Julia Shoemaker married Hayden L. Gurley, son of Albert Michael Gurley and Sarah Elizabeth Moore.¹ Julia Shoemaker was born on 20 January 1896 at Etta, Mississippi.¹ She died on 29 January 1929 at Rock Creek, Bowie County, Texas, at age 33.¹

     Infant Gurley was buried after January 1908 at Magnolia Cemetery, Lot 11, Section 18.¹ Infant Gurley died on 30 January 1908.¹

     Mackie B. Gurley died in 1805.¹ Mackie B. Gurley was buried in 1905 at Rose Hill Cemetery, Lot 280.¹

     Minerva Henrietta Gurley was born on 12 February 1886 at Meridian, Mississippi.¹ She died on 13 September 1966 at Birmingham, Alabama, at age 80.² She was buried after 13 September 1966 at Elmwood Cemetery, Lot 750 (No.1/4) Sec. 39, Birmingham, Alabama.²

     Francis Asbury Gurley Jr. was born on 25 May 1888 at Meridian, Mississippi.¹ He died on 24 May 1952 at Louisville, Kentucky, at age 63.²

     Francis Asbury Gurley III was educated at Purdue University at Lafayette, Indiana.¹ He was born on 27 April 1919 at Nashville, Tennessee.¹ He began military service on 3 November 1943 at Altus, Oklahoma, he served in the Army. He took pre-flight training in San Antonio, Texas, and basic training at Muskogee, Oklahoma and in Coffeeville, Kansas.¹ He was involved in a tragic plane crash in which he was killed. He was a Lieutenant. He was piloting a B-24 plane that crashed on Easter Sunday Morning near Mojave, California. on 9 April 1944.¹ He died on 9 April 1944 at California at age 24.¹

     Edward Lee Gurley was born on 22 February 1895.¹ He died on 16 September 1897 at age 2.¹

     Mary Maxine Gurley was born on 1 March 1824 at Houston, Texas.¹
