     Jemimah Stewart was born between 1795 and 1804.² She married Jesse Gurley before 1820.^2,3 Jemimah Stewart and Jesse Gurley were involved in a land transfer on 10 November 1834 at Bedford County, Tennessee.² Jemimah Stewart and Jesse Gurley moved to at Marshall County, Mississippi, in before January 1841.⁴

     Eva Mae Howell was born on 1 February 1913.^2,1 She married Kirby Cicero Gurley, son of Lloyd E. Gurley and Lila L. Sasser, on 5 April 1931.^1,3 Eva Mae Howell died on 8 June 1982 at age 69.^1,2

     Robert Lloyd Gurley was born on 30 January 1932 at Goldsboro, North Carolina.¹ He died on 6 October 2012 at Goldsboro, Wayne County, North Carolina, at age 80.¹

     Martitia Holt was born circa 1910.¹ She married Carl R. Gurley Sr., son of Charles Luther Gurley and Hattie Massey, circa 1940.¹ Martitia Holt died before 2020.¹

PRINCETON – Carl R. "Bob" Gurley, Jr., age 66, owner and operator of Gurley Seeds and Gurley Auto Sales, died Thursday morning, March 13 at his home. He was born July 31, 1941 in Johnston County to the late Carl Roberts and Martitia Holt Gurley. He was a member the first graduating class of the NC State Agriculture Institute. Bob was also a member of the Princeton United Methodist Church and the Princeton Lions Club.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Princeton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael Coppock officiating. Burial will follow in the Princeton Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Pat Gurley; sons, Carl Gurley, III and wife Jessi of Princeton and Charles Gurley and wife Angie of Goldsboro; daughters, Constance Kornegay and husband Barry and Beth Oljaca and husband Mark all of Goldsboro; stepson, Jeff Johnson and wife Mary of Raleigh; stepdaughter, Jennifer Wade and husband John of Raleigh; sisters, Peggy Thompson and husband Merlin of Raleigh, Imogene Capps and husband Elmer of Princeton and Connie Oliver and husband Berry of Pine Level; 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton.

     Edgar Dallie Gurley was born on 17 March 1916.¹ He died on 26 February 1998 at age 81.¹
