Services will be conducted by Rev. C.J. Graves, minister of Friendship Methodist Church. Burial will be in Collinsville Cemetery, under the direction of Barrett Funeral Home. Grandsons who will serve as pallbearers are Bill Roberts, Tommy Roberts, Jack Pierce, Gary Gray, Ben Wible and terry Corbin. Mrs. Gurley was born March 20, 1892 in Arkansas, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Israel Jenkins. She married Mr. James S. Gurley in 1935 in Sherman. Mr. Gurley died in December, 1956. Mrs. Gurley had been a resident of Grayson County for 50 years, the last 25 years in Sherman. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church. Survivors are two sons; Carl Roberts, Denison, and Omas Roberts, Wichita Falls; four daughters; Mrs Frank Pierce, Garland; Mrs. Robert Wilson, Sherman; Mrs. A.D. Gray, Sherman, and Mrs. Franklin Wible, Sherman; two half brothers; Marian Jenkins, Sherman; and Willie Ruffin, Howe; two half sisters; Mrs. Vera Davis, Gunter; and Mrs. Edna Baughman, Tioga; 17 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
